Beyond just designing great spaces, architectural education also instills qualities like, time management, problem solving, working in teams and with people from different fields, public speaking, presentation skills and marketing their products. BMSSA provides its students a platform to apply, assess and improvise these skills through its Non-Academic Events that are jointly planned, managed and executed by the students and the faculty.
During “REVERB” - ZONASA 2014, BMSSA has proudly played host to the 57th Annual Zonal NASA Convention a 1000 student members from various architectural institutions under the South Zone. Web Link
The school also hosted ANDC 2016 - The Annual NASA Design Competition, one of the most prestigious design competitions in the world. Over 250 colleges from India as well as colleges from neighboring nations of Pakistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka participate every year in this trophy. A grand jury with over 60 members judges the entries in a highly confidential environment. The event was hosted and managed by the students of BMSSA under the guidance of the faculty and the Director.
The Student Council also host the annual fest, SPECTRUM WEEK , organizing events and games for the students of BMSSA. This week long fest culminates in the ANNUAL DAY , followed by the FAREWELL to the outgoing batch.
OPEN DAY , an event following the bi-annual Parent Teacher Meeting, have the students managing food and accessories stalls, display of their works and cultural events to entertain their parents for the day.
